A Legacy of Excellence Since 1931
St. Mary’s Kibabii Boys C1 Senior School traces its roots back to 1931, when it was established by the Mill Hill Missionaries from the Netherlands. Built upon strong Catholic values, the institution was founded to provide quality education while nurturing moral integrity, discipline, and spiritual growth.
In 1958, the institution transitioned into a Teacher Training College (T.T.C.), serving the growing need for teacher education in the region. Four years later, in 1962, the Teacher Training College was relocated to Eregi, paving the way for the rebirth of St. Mary’s Kibabii as a secondary school.
The school’s strong religious foundation has remained central to its identity, inspiring generations of students to embrace its motto, “Pray and Work.” Through commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and holistic development, the school has grown from a single-stream institution into one of Kenya’s leading national schools.
Today, St. Mary’s Kibabii Boys C1 Senior School is a sixteen-stream national school with a student population of approximately 2,962 learners (2026). The school continues to expand its academic and physical infrastructure to provide a conducive environment for learning and personal growth.
