At St. Mary’s Kibabii Boys National School, discipline is a cornerstone of academic success and personal development. Our rules and regulations are designed to create a safe, orderly, and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive academically, spiritually, and socially.
All students are expected to uphold the school’s values and demonstrate integrity, responsibility, and respect in all aspects of school life.

General Rules and Regulations
Respect and Conduct
Students must show respect and obedience to teachers, staff, and fellow students at all times.
Bullying, fighting, harassment, quarrelling, or any form of intimidation is strictly prohibited.
Students should maintain high standards of discipline both within and outside the school.
Incitement of fellow students or involvement in disruptive behaviour will result in disciplinary action.
School Routine
Students must strictly adhere to the daily school timetable and instructions issued by the school administration.
Movement within the school should follow the established procedures, and students are expected to move promptly between activities.
Language Policy
English and Kiswahili are the official languages of communication within the school compound.
Spiritual Life
As a Catholic-sponsored institution, participation in Mass and other approved spiritual activities is compulsory.
Students are expected to maintain reverence and proper conduct during religious services.
Dress Code
Students must wear the prescribed school uniform correctly and at all times.
Civilian clothing, jewellery, chains, bangles, goggles, and fancy footwear are prohibited.
Any unauthorized items found in students’ possession may be confiscated and disposed of according to school policy.
Prohibited Items
Students are not permitted to possess:
Mobile phones
SIM cards
Radios
Cassette players
Cameras
CDs
Electronic entertainment devices
Any other unauthorized communication gadgets
Possession of prohibited items will attract disciplinary action in accordance with school regulations.
Boarding Regulations
Staff residential areas are strictly out of bounds.
Visitors are not permitted in the boarding section.
Any unfamiliar person within the school compound should be reported immediately to the watchman or the teacher on duty.
Movement Outside School
No student may leave the school compound without official permission from the Teacher on Duty, Deputy Principal, or Senior Principal.
Permission to stay away from school overnight can only be granted by the Deputy Principal or the Senior Principal.
Students travelling on school trips must:
Wear full school uniform.
Be accompanied by a teacher.
Maintain exemplary discipline.
Avoid visiting relatives unless officially authorized.
Visitors
Students may only interact with visitors after receiving permission from a teacher or school administration.
Safety and Welfare
Smoking, alcohol consumption, drug abuse, and any form of sexual misconduct are strictly prohibited.
Cooking or keeping cooked food within the school is not allowed.
Theft, vandalism, or destruction of school property is prohibited. Any damaged property must be repaired or replaced by the responsible student.
Environmental Responsibility
Every student is expected to participate actively in maintaining a clean, healthy, and environmentally friendly school environment.
